With history dating back to 1614 the building holds many years to explore.
Ribblesdale Hall
Reports of a malevolent spirit known as the “Black Dog.” He is said to be the ghost of a former guard of Ribblesdale Hall. He is said to appear to visitors as a shadowy figure, and he is said to be responsible for many of the strange and disturbing phenomena that occur at the hall.
Gisburne Park Hospital
There are many stories of paranormal activity at Gisburne Park Hospital. Visitors have reported seeing ghostly apparitions, hearing unexplained noises, and feeling strange presences. Some have even claimed to have been physically attacked by spirits.
Gisburne Park Psychiatric Jail
One of the most common haunting stories is that of a young woman who died in the hospital. She is said to haunt the hospital’s corridors, dressed in a white nightgown and weeping softly.
Hangman’s Cottage
Reports is that of seeing the ghost of a young boy playing in the barn, and a farmer from the 20th Century roaming the corridors.
Whether or not you believe in ghosts, there is no doubt that Gisburne Park Estate is a place with a dark and disturbing past. If you are brave enough to visit, you may just experience something paranormal for yourself.

This venue can be cold during the Autumn/Winter months so please ensure you wrap up warm. You can bring your own ghost hunting equipment with you to use during your alone time. It is essential that all guest bring a torch. During the lockdown, all the lights are turned off and some areas are pitch black.
